Band budget and studio hours

Bands often underestimate setup time and overestimate how many songs are stage-ready. With a realistic schedule and Nazeriniedgevi’s published rates, you keep budget and energy for the takes that matter.

Band discusses session planning at a studio table.

What you pay for

Band recording is €125 per hour including engineer, or €895 for an eight-hour block on Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, closed Sunday.. That covers the 38 m² live room, 16 preamps and routing to Pro Tools — no separate “studio fee” on top.

Drums usually sit on an isolated riser; guitars and bass can track live, vocals often follow in the booth. More than 6 people at once does not fit our layout safely; plan doubles or overdubs the same day for larger line-ups.

Hours versus day rate

Do the math: eight hours at €125 exceeds €895. A full day pays off when you want setup, soundcheck and at least four to six live songs without rushing. A single or short session? Hourly blocks keep flexibility; you pay for booked time used.

Building the kit, DIs and headphone mixes takes twenty to forty minutes before the first useful take. Put that in the schedule, not after midnight when De Pijp neighbours notice kick drum bleed.

Realistic output per session

A prepared indie band often tracks two to three songs live on a half day plus an overdub. A full day can yield five to seven if arrangement and tuning were sorted beforehand. First studio visit? Halve those expectations: talkback, monitoring and amp settings take time to learn.

Home demos help you know what must be live versus later. If vocals come after the live day, read vocal prep to avoid a second booking.

Prep that saves money

  • Send setlist with tempo and key before the session.
  • Tune guitars and bass at home; bring spare strings and sticks.
  • One band spokesperson for the engineer.
  • Note drum goals (tight/open) without micromanaging every head.

Noisy or faulty gear eats diagnosis time. Follow From De Pijp metro (North/South line) it is about a seven-minute walk via Ferdinand Bolstraat. Tram 12 stops at Ceintuurbaan, five minutes on foot to Van Ostadestraat. On-street parking is limited; use P+R at Zuid or Arena if you drive.; street parking in De Pijp is tight, so P+R Zuid or Arena reduces delay.
