Vocal recording
In our 12 m² booth you capture vocals, rap or spoken lines with an engineer who listens with you, not only at the meters.

The vocal is often what makes a track feel finished or pasted on. At Nazeriniedgevi we budget time for mic choice, headphone balance and a calm workflow so you are not racing between takes.
You visit us at Van Ostadestraat 184 in Amsterdam with a beat, stems or lyrics only. We work with singers, rappers, podcast voices and voice-over for demos; mixing and mastering are separate when you need them — see Mixing and Mastering.
Process
Intake
Send tempo, references and your backing track via contact. We hold the booth and prep a session before you walk in.
Setup
We briefly compare two mics from our pool of 24, set pop filter and headphone mix, and check levels without printing compression on the way in.
Tracking
Full passes first, then targeted lines. Breaks whenever you need them — a tired voice rarely yields usable material.
Wrap
Basic edits, comping when agreed, and WAV stems the same day. Raw backups stay on our servers for 6 months.
Booth and monitoring
The vocal booth is about 12 m², treated for a dry but not lifeless response. A window to the control room keeps eye contact with the engineer for cues without opening the door every minute.
You get a personal headphone mix: more or less beat, a touch of reverb to support pitch, no volume surprises. Water and a lyric stand are ready. Prefer standing, a low mic for rap or handheld sections? We adjust the setup in the first quarter hour without extra billing for that reset.
Microphones and signal path
We stock 24 microphones and 16 preamps. No single model suits every voice, so we run a short comparison on the verse you find hardest. Condensers for detail, dynamics for loud passages or aggressive rap — you listen in the control room and we choose together.
Default recording is 24-bit / 48 kHz unless your project needs another rate. The path stays clean: no auto-tune on input, no limiter squashing your dynamics. Tuning happens afterward and only if you ask for it.
Who this is for
Solo artists locking a single, rappers stacking ad-libs and doubles, bands adding leads after a band session, and writers sending a tidy demo to a publisher — the booth is built for that. Spoken word for trailers or internal video works too when it fits a studio setting.
Minimum age for sessions on your own is 16. Younger artists can attend with a guardian; mention it upfront via contact.
What to bring
Bring your instrumental as WAV (ideally without a guide vocal) or an exported session with clear track names. Print lyrics or keep them on your phone, note tempo and key if you know them, and send two reference tracks whose vocal tone you like.
Our vocal prep guide covers rest, hydration and warm-ups. Skip dairy and ice-cold drinks right before the session if your voice is sensitive — small habits matter in the booth.
Delivery and file formats
After the session you receive vocal stems as WAV aligned from bar 1 of your beat, plus a rough bounce if you want a phone check. We can also hand over the full session (Logic or Pro Tools) on your SSD or via a secure download link.
Mixing is not included in the hourly rate; we still deliver clearly labelled tracks so mixing here or elsewhere starts smoothly. Read mix delivery formats explained if you send stems to an external mixer.

Scheduling and getting here
We are open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, closed Sunday.. From De Pijp metro (North/South line) it is about a seven-minute walk via Ferdinand Bolstraat. Tram 12 stops at Ceintuurbaan, five minutes on foot to Van Ostadestraat. On-street parking is limited; use P+R at Zuid or Arena if you drive. Arrive five minutes early to check in — no clock stress on your first take.
Tight release date? Say so on contact. We usually reply within 1 business day about availability. For busy weekends the half-day rate is often more efficient than single hours.
Not included
Full mixing, mastering, heavy tuning, ghostwriting or producing instrumentals sit outside vocal recording. Travel and hired musicians are yours to arrange. Want to move straight into a mix? Book a separate slot or ask for a combo quote — we plan so exports get a quick sanity check.
Engineers give artistic feedback when you want it but do not act as A&R on your career. It remains your track; we capture it cleanly.

One or two people in the control room is fine. Larger groups often distract the booth — talk to us beforehand if you expect a crowd.
